Originally from St. Thomas, Ontario, Ryan is currently living in Vancouver, BC based on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. He received his initial dance training from Jo Read Dance and is now in the midst of his education at Modus Operandi under the mentorship of Tiffany Tregarthen, David Raymond, Kate Franklin, and Maiko Miyauchi. Since joining MO, Ryan has had the opportunity to work with extraordinary artists such as David Harvey, Jermaine Spivey, Mariko Kakizaki, Yi-Chun Liu, and Kylie Miller, among others. To be performing alongside Paper Rabbits is an honour and a joy and he couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come.
